STEP Systems at the IPM Dubai

Under the motto “Sowing ideas, harvesting success”, IPM Dubai – the leading horticultural fair in the Middle East – was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports. The IPM Dubai is aimed at exhibitors and interested visitors from the fields of plant, gardening and landscaping, logistics, technology, plant care, floristry and gardening equipment.

STEP Systems was represented at the German pavilion of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). “It was very important for us to be able to act as an official delegation from Germany,” emphasizes Harald Braungardt as official informant of the BMEL, because this year for the first time the Netherlands was represented with a joint stand at IPM Dubai. Together with the German Consul General Günter Rauer and Trade Fair Managing Director Oliver P. Kuhrt, Harald Braungardt welcomed the representatives of the Emirates to the stand.

However, visitors did not fail to notice that some Arab countries were not as present this time as in previous years. Current political situation left traces here. Nevertheless, the IPM, with its directly affiliated WOP, remains an ideal opportunity to maintain contacts directly with local business partners from Arab and neighboring countries.
