Besides salinity, the pH-value is the most important parameter for plant nutrition. The uptake of nutrients by the plants depends on a well-adjusted pH-value of the soil or substrate media:

• low pH blockades the uptake of macro-elements

• high pH blockades the uptake of micro-elements, e.g. chlorosis of iron, etc.

For this reason, fast and reliable pH-measurements are indispensable in pro-fessional horti- and agriculture.

The pH 3000 meter meets all requirements for the application soil- and/or water pH-measurements in an outstanding way. It is particularly designed for direct pH-measurements in soils and other growing media. The rugged field-ready housing is waterproof and is well-protected against dust and air humidity.
A The newly developed, gel-filled insertion probe is break-resistant. It features three ceramic diaphragmas (usually only one for standard pH-electrodes) and thus guarantee fast response and long durability.

Further outstanding characteristics: easy calibration with integrated stability indicator, i.e. the instrument "knows" when calibration is terminated; alternative mV-measurement to check the sensor quality; "Low-bat" indication.
