Climate Monitoring System T-Warner
Internet based weather data monitoring system with alarm function via SMS on the mobile
The T-Warner weather monitoring system measures permanently all relevant data (e.g. air and soil temperature, air humidity, soil moisture, rainfall, wind speed and direction, etc) and transmits these data to an internet data base. The user gets access to these data from any internet access point all over the world.
An internet browser and log-in password provides online data, reports and graphs observed from the users own orchard, field or greenhouse. On the site there is also an area reserved for input and change of threshold values and telephone numbers (person on duty) to be used for alarm warning.
Climate data can be seen in tables and/or graphs. All data can also be downloaded into MS Excel or Access sheets or any other data base programs. No additional software is required. The T-Warner system only needs a valid GPRS contract with sufficient good GSM coverage in the area and a deactivated SIM lock to be operational.
The T-Warner station is completely maintenance-free. It is powered by rechargeable batteries and a solar panel. For this reason, no external power supply or change or externally charge of batteries is needed. The T-Warner system can be placed anywhere at any time - only GSM coverage for data transfer is needed.
The T-Warner system is designed on a modular basis. It can be installed within few minutes in the field or in the greenhouse. The basic unit, the GMS-modem with solar panel and accumulators, is mounted on a stainless steel housing. The T-Warner configuration can include following sensors:
- air temperature and humidity (capacitance probe) (up to 28 sensors possible, see below: SK-7 chain)
- soil temperature (also possible as BUS-sensor-chain)
- soil moisture (tensiometers or watermark sensors)
- rainfall
- leaf wetness
- global radiation
- lux meter
- wind speed
- wind direction
Optional system component: Sensor Chain Array SK7
With the intelligent sensor chain arrays SK7 the T-Warner can measure on one cable up to 7 different temperatures and humidities (BUS-system). If no other channel is used on the T-Warner system, up to 4 channel inputs can be used for sensor array chains. This makes a total of 28 different temperature and/or humidity sensors which can be operated by the T-Warner system. The max.length of one chain is 300 mtr., the standard distance between two sensors being 30 mtrs (variable). The intelligent sensor chains are powered by batteries and completely independent from mains. Those sensor chains are the ideal, cost-effective solution for continous monitoring of temperature and humidity in greenhouses, plastic tunnels, etc.
